The storyteller
Before you meet him, you meet his way of seeing.
Every Mellow story begins the same way: quietly, behind a camera, watching for the moment that matters more than the pose.

The storyteller, mid-thought. You'll meet him properly in a moment.
Some photographers chase perfect lighting. Ian chases honest moments.
Because the memories people keep are rarely the perfectly posed ones. They're the ones that felt real — the glance between vows, the laugh after the formal portrait, the quiet pride of a parent standing slightly out of frame.

Meet the founder
Ian Asena.
Ian founded Mellow Productions on a simple belief: a photograph should feel like the day it was made. He directs gently, waits patiently, and treats every session less like a shoot and more like a conversation that happens to be photographed.
He smiles easily, works quietly, and believes the best portrait is the one you didn't know was being made.

What he believes
We don't chase perfection. We chase emotion.
Decades from now, no one will remember the camera. They'll remember how they felt.
The crew
Behind every story.
Every memorable photograph is made by more than one pair of hands.

Around Ian is a small crew of editors, second shooters and storytellers who trade frames across one table, argue kindly about which smile is the true one, and care for your memory as if it were their own. No job titles on set — just people who refuse to let a good moment go unkept.
